Summary Of PracticeJanet was called to the Bar in 2007, and became a tenant in Chambers in 2008 following the successful completion of her pupillage. Janet practices in most areas of Chambers work, with a particular emphasis on: Family Janet is presently seeking to broaden her family law practice. She appears on behalf of local authorities and parents in public law cases, and regularly appears on behalf of parents in private law proceedings (contact and residence disputes). She also appears for applicants and respondents in civil proceedings relating to domestic violence, particularly non-molestation, occupation, and committal orders. Janet has undertaken two secondments with two different local authorities in the child care and adult social services’ departments; and has advised on various aspects of these two areas. Landlord & Tenant/Housing Janet regularly acts for local authorities, housing associations and private landlords as well as tenants. Her practice covers all aspects of housing law including possessions, disrepair and tolerated trespassers. Personal Injury Janet regularly appears for both claimants and defendants in road traffic arbitrations, which often include an element of personal injury.
