Summary Of PracticeChris was called to the Bar in 2008. He became a tenant in 2009 following successful completion of his pupillage with Chambers. Chris has accepted instructions since the commencement of his second six of pupillage. He undertakes work in most areas of Chamber’s practice with particular emphasis on:
Landlord and Tenant / Housing Chris represents landlords and tenants in relation to social, private and commercial leases. His practice encompasses all areas of housing law including possession, disrepair and tolerated trespassers. Whilst a pupil Chris undertook a secondment during which he advised a large social landlord on possession matters involving nuisance and anti-social behaviour.
Chris advises, and appears on behalf of, both claimants and defendants in claims arising from road traffic accidents which frequently include an element of personal injury.
Chris’ family practice focuses on proceedings relating to children. Chris is instructed by Local Authorities and parents in public law cases. Chris is instructed by parents in private law proceedings relating to contact, residence and other section 8 matters. Chris appears for applicants and respondents in civil proceedings involving domestic violence.
Chris advises and acts on behalf of claimants and respondents in all areas of employment law including unfair and wrongful dismissal, all forms of discrimination and breach of contract.
Chris undertakes advisory and advocacy work in a range of contractual disputes.
