Neil accepts instructions in all areas of chambers work, particularly in the following:
Commercial & Contract
He is instructed in insolvency matters and contractual disputes, and appears in the Companies Court on a regular basis.
Employment
Neil represents both claimants and respondents in the Employment Tribunal on matters including: unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, redundancy and TUPE transfers; he is experienced in defending multi-claimant cases.
Landlord and Tenant
He represents private and public landlords in possession and disrepair claims. Whilst in pupillage he worked in-house within a local authority and advised on cases regarding: anti-social behaviour, trespass, service contracts, and disrepair.
Personal Injury
Neil spent the first six months of pupillage with Richard Furniss, and the second six with Charles Utley. He now advises on a range of cases both in relation to liability and quantum.
