Over fifty reported cases including Al Habtoor v Fotheringham (Court of Appeal) 2001 establishing case law on habitual residence, Zaffino V Zaffino (Court of Appeal) 2006 and Klentzeris V Klentzeris (Court of Appeal) 2007 establishing considerations of the law on the objections of children returning to their place of habitual residence. AF v MBF 2008 (The President of the Family Division) establishing the English court's approach to children's objections to a return to their place of habitual residence in the face of the requirements under EU law of Brussels 11 (Revised).
