Summary Of Practice

Deborah has wide experience in family law, including the following areas in particular:

• Pre-nuptial agreements.
• Ancillary relief.  This includes advice on financial issues and settlements on voluntary disclosure prior to litigation as well as conduct of litigation from first appointment to final hearing (including drafting questionnaires when instructed, in more complex matters).
• Children and parenting disputes.
• Cohabitation (including trusts of land) disputes.
• Harassment & Domestic Violence.

Scholarships and Awards

Deborah’s early years of family and civil practice (including judicial review), led to a Privy Council appointment as the sole lawyer member of the first General Osteopathic Council.  This 5 year appointment to the first regulatory statutory body to be set up in about 40 years was an invaluable experience.

Professional Memberships

Family Law Bar Association.

Education

Deborah successfully completed the dancers course at the Royal Ballet Upper School from which she gained an appreciation of music, Benesh notation and anatomy.  Her career path changed following an accident, after which she gained experience in sales before obtaining an LLB (Hons) and being called to the bar.

Interests include: theatre, film and good food.
