Summary Of PracticeJude was called to the bar in October 1996 and is experienced in representing a wide variety of clients in employment law. Prior to joining chambers she worked for one of the leading London employment law firms. Jude’s principal area of practice has continued to be employment law, regularly acting for both employees and employers. Jude advises and represents employers ranging from government bodies and local authorities to large commercial PLCs and small to medium enterprises. Outside of her full time legal practice Jude is the Company Secretary of a commercial organisation. This diversity and depth of understanding of all parties’ positions puts her in a unique position to advise and act on behalf of a wide variety of clients. Whilst Jude spends most of her time as an advocate in the Employment Tribunals and Employment Appeal Tribunal, she also regularly consults with and advises organisations on how to avoid litigation in this increasingly complex field of law. This advice includes a programme of lectures for clients and detailed legal seminars for instructing solicitors. Jude’s areas of specialism cover all aspects of employment law including race, sex, disability and age discrimination, unfair and wrongful dismissal, breach of contract, restrictive covenants, wages claims, redundancy, TUPE and maternity and paternity rights. Jude is accredited to undertake public access work.
