Summary Of PracticeStephen’s practice is focused upon land: be it disputes over the use to which it can be put or the ownership of the buildings upon it. His practice ranges from rights of way and boundary disputes to the ownership of the homes of unmarried couples and from leasehold enfranchisement to commercial leases. Real property Extensive experience of rights of way, restrictive covenants and boundary disputes. Commercial Landlord and Tenant Acting for landlords and tenants in renewals under the 1954 Act and in rent reviews. Residential landlord and tenant Extensive experience of acting for both landlords and tenants in leasehold and housing law matters. Leasehold enfranchisement, from advising on the steps prior to the service of the initial notice through to appeals to the Lands Tribunal and beyond. Cohabitation Extensive experience of disputes relating to the property held by unmarried couples and the application of the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996. Experience of advising civil partners as to their property rights upon the breakdown and dissolution of their partnerships.
