Anti-Racism Statement

42BR has a zero tolerance policy for racism from our staff, barristers, and to the people we represent. Inclusivity is a core value here at 42BR, where we celebrate the rich diversity that our Chambers has to offer.

Racial inequality is prevalent across the world, and so merely refraining from acting in a discriminatory way, we recognize that we actively have a role to play in confronting and remedying the effects of racism.

We are committed to promoting the inclusion of everyone at the Bar. We are particularly proud that 47% of our membership comprises of female practitioners and 20% of ethnic and non-ethnic minorities.

We are a part of the 10,000 Black Interns programme, offering internships to those who have made an application through the programme.

However, we recognise that throughout the Bar, and Chambers, there is a lot to cover in relation to diversity as not all individuals are represented equally. We are determined to take responsibility and make changes where we can, adapt and offer support for this under-representation.

This is just the start in making the Bar, and our Chambers a more diverse and inclusive place. Please check back to see how we progress.
