Introduction

Alex joined chambers from his previous chambers 1 Gray’s Inn Square. Before commencing pupillage, Alex worked as a County Court Advocate, appearing daily in County Courts, the RCJ and in the Bankruptcy and Companies Court. During this time, he also regularly represented services personnel with the Royal British Legion in the War Pensions and Compensation Tribunal.

He has a broad civil practice, with regular court advocacy and a developing paperwork practice.

Personal Injury

Alex regularly appears in small claims and fast-track trials for RTAs and personal injury cases. This includes causation and quantum disputes, including representing both Claimants and Defendants in credit-hire claims. He also appears in CICA hearings, stage 3 hearings, interim applications and case management hearings (including CCMHs) in fast-track and multi-track cases.

Alex also has experience drafting pleadings and advising on liability, quantum and procedure in a range of matters, including employer’s and occupier’s liabilit

Inquiries

Alex has recently been instructed to assist the Government Legal Service with the Grenfell Inquiry. This has included working with the Department for Communities and Local Government and the Home Office.
