Amanda specialises in all areas of family law, in particular in public law cases and/or cases with an international element.

Family Law

Amanda is a senior junior and specialist family law practitioner with extensive experience in all aspects of the law relating to children.  She has a wealth of representing local authorities, children, parents, extended family members and intervenors.

The primary focus of Amanda’s practice is public law children cases. She has dealt with cases involving allegations of non-accidental injury, allegations of abuse and neglect, cases with an international element such as placement overseas, or with linked criminal proceedings, selective mutism, fabricated illness, radicalisation, Secure Accommodation Orders, and cases involving the Official Solicitor, or in the Family Drug and Alcohol Courts.

As well as care proceedings, she is regularly instructed in cases involving adoption, relinquished babies, wardship, Female Genital Mutilation, and forced marriage.

Amanda develops an easy rapport with her clients which enables her to give them robust advice. She will argue persuasively for her clients to achieve the best outcome, at all levels of court.
