Eleonore has 9 years' experience in children law and financial remedy cases. Known for her meticulous  preparation and analytical approach, she is a tenacious advocate who appears before all levels of judge in the Family Court. She regularly gives talk to solicitors and social workers. She has a particular interest in the international and cross-cultural aspects of family law.

As a child law practitioner, Eleonore acts for local authorities, parents, intervenors and children in both private and public law matters. Approachability and a sense for cultural nuance enable her to get the best out of clients. Her ever-growing children law portfolio includes cases featuring:

Intractable contact disputes
International relocation
Domestic violence, neglect and emotional abuse of children
Sexual violence
Non-accidental injury
Fabricated or induced illness
Deaf parents
Complex mental health difficulties
Adoption disruption
The deaths of children
Deprivation of liberty. 
She is a member of the Barristers Panel for local authorities in North Wales.

Financial Remedies
Eleonore is regularly instructed in financial remedy and trust matters, an area where she is valued for being persuasive, practical and tough. Her experience includes:

Representing clients at court from FDA to final hearing
Advising on settlements
Orders for interim maintenance, freezing injunctions, legal costs and to set aside transactions
Disputes relating to inheritance and property acquired post-separation
The contested ownership of business assets
Third party interests in matrimonial property
Applications under TOLATA arising from property disputes between cohabitees.

Other information

Eleonore is the recipient of a number of scholarships from the Inns of Court. In 2016 she was selected to take part in the Pegasus Paris Bar exchange scheme. She spent a month at a law firm specialising in matrimonial finance. In 2018-2019, Eleonore spent a sabbatical year in Paris, in the course of which she undertook an internship at a law firm specialising in international commercial arbitration with a focus on Africa.

Languages: fluent Norwegian and French, proficient Spanish.
