Since joining 42BR in 2020, Hannah has built a busy practice as a family law barrister specialising in family finance and private children law. She is known for her thorough preparation, fluent oral and written advocacy, and excellent client care. In addition to her own cases, Hannah has been led in the Court of Appeal and the High Court.
Alongside her day-to-day practice, Hannah maintains an academic interest in family law and enjoys presenting webinars and writing articles, most recently, on preparation for FDRs and the Family Solutions Group ‘Language Matters’ report.
Before coming to the Bar, Hannah studied English Language and Literature at Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford. After graduating, she went on to study at BPP Law School, having been awarded Major Scholarships from the Inns of Court.
Hannah represents clients at all stages of financial remedy proceedings. She has recently represented clients in complex cases involving matters such as Armed Forces and other public service pension schemes, non-disclosure of assets, add-back arguments, and a substantial delay between separation and financial remedy proceedings.
Hannah represents clients at all stages of private children law proceedings and has recently represented clients in complex cases involving allegations of child abuse (including non-accidental injury) and domestic abuse, allegations of alienating behaviours, and parents with significant mental health conditions. Hannah has also represented clients in cases with an international element, including permanent and temporary relocation to both Hague and non-Hague Convention countries.
