Hannah’s practice covers all areas of private family law, including financial remedies and private children law. Hannah is ranked as a ‘Rising Star’ in the Legal 500. She is described as having ‘fierce, knowledgeable and insightful’ advocacy, as well as being ‘meticulous in her work’ and having ‘great client care skills.’ In addition to her own cases, Hannah has been led in the Court of Appeal and the High Court.

Alongside her day-to-day practice, Hannah maintains an academic interest in family law and enjoys presenting seminars and writing articles, most recently, on general updates on case law and procedure in financial remedies, best practice preparation for FDRs and First Appointments, and the Family Solutions Group’s ‘Language Matters’ report.

Before coming to the bar in 2019, Hannah studied English Language and Literature at Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford. After graduating, she went on to study at BPP Law School, having been awarded scholarships from the Inns of Court.

Hannah represents clients at all stages of financial remedy proceedings. She frequently represents clients in complex cases involving alleged non-disclosure of assets and income resources, Armed Forces and other public service pension schemes, arguments as to matrimonial and non-matrimonial assets and enforcement issues.  

Private Children Law

Hannah represents clients at all stages of private children law proceedings. She frequently represents clients in complex cases involving applications to relocate internationally or within the UK, allegations of alienating behaviours, and allegations of domestic abuse and child abuse (including non-accidental injury). 

Reported Cases:

Re B-T (A Child: Threshold Conditions) [2020] EWCA Civ 697. Decision of the Court of Appeal regarding whether threshold had been crossed on the facts found and the meaning of section 40 Children Act 1989.
