Prior to joining Chambers, Heather worked for two recognised insurance law firms in London, where she was instructed in almost every conceivable type of claim that might be expected in a defendant insurance practice.
She has built on that experience during her time at 42 Bedford Row, where she has a busy court practice and regularly advises on paper and in conference across the range of her practice areas.
Heather has considerable experience of conducting detailed analysis of extensive papers and has particular interest in complex medical matters.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Heather practised as a Solicitor-Advocate (Civil) and was instructed by local authorities, private companies, and private insurers to deal with construction and engineering matters involving, inter alia, fire, loss of property, floods and water damage, and property damage. She was a researcher for the Supplement to the 8th Edition of Keating on Construction Contracts.
Heather is frequently instructed to advise in respect of contractual disputes arising particularly in the construction sector.
Heather has a growing practice in respect of damage to utility companies’ infrastructure, whether caused by private individuals or commercial entities.
