Katherine joined 42 Bedford Row after successfully completing pupillage in chambers. She has a wide range of experience in civil and family law. Before joining chambers, Katherine worked as a judicial assistant to two Court of Appeal judges.
Katherine has recently acted as junior counsel in the Court of Appeal in a sexual misconduct case, challenging the decisions of the Medical Practitioners Tribunal.

Sastry & Okpara v GMC [2021] EWCA 623
Katherine is building a practice in all areas relating to the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and other key animal welfare legislation (including the recently enacted Animal Welfare (Sentience) Act 2022). Her experience of conducting the welfare analysis in children cases combined with her appellate level experience in disciplinary proceedings, means she is well equipped to accept instructions in this field.
