42BR is delighted to share that we won Family Law Chambers of the Year - London at this year's LexisNexis Family Law Awards.
The judges were impressed by the growth of the Group over the past year. Not only has the Group had members appear in the Supreme Court, we have also had members elected into positions on the Bar Council, FLBA and the Sussex and Kent FLBA, as well as having two members of the team elected as Social Mobility Advocates.
The Group has also recruited 8 new members in the last year.
We have also had a new Silk appointed (Gemma Farrington), two District Judge appointments (Caroline Landes and Francis Cassidy), a part-time recordership appointment (Mark Chaloner) and a full time recorder appointment (Mary Robertson) from members of the team.
The Group is also going from strength to strength in both main legal directories with 2 new rankings, including a silk in this year's Chambers & Partners, and 2 additions in the Legal 500.
Three members of the Group, who also won Family Law Case of the Year at the awards, were involved in the case re H-W which was heard in the Supreme Court.
The judges also commended our recently formed Animal Welfare Group and the work the team are doing to highlight the status of companion animals in financial remedies and divorce cases.
We are absolutely delighted to have won both of these awards and would like to extend our congratulations to everyone who won awards or was shortlisted.
