Introduction

Lola-Rose joined Chambers in 2023 from a national set. Lola has always specialised exclusively in family law and has developed a strong practice in matters relating to children, receiving repeat instruction.

Lola is an engaging, poised advocate who effectively case manages with sensitivity and is able to address the needs of vulnerable clients.

Lola is also active in the wider legal community and is passionate about equality and diversity both within and beyond the profession; Lola has made television and radio appearances and written a number of articles addressing related topics.

Lola is authorised to accept instructions under the Direct Access scheme.

Family Law

Private Children Law

Lola predominantly practices in private children law and has extensive experience at all stages of proceedings. Lola is regularly instructed in complex and multi-day final hearings (and fact find hearings).

 Lola’s vast experience in this area covers but is not limited to the following:

  • Contact/shared care/live with
  • Specific Issue Orders
  • Prohibited Steps order
  • Alcohol/substance misuse
  • Relocation
  • Mental illness/mental health issues
  • Capacity issues and instruction through Litigation Friend
  • Parental alienation (alienating behaviour)

Lola is particularly adept at building rapport and putting clients at ease, giving clear and frank advice sensitively.

Lola also follows modern families & surrogacy law and has a keen interest in expanding her already varied private children practice into this area.

 

Domestic Abuse/ Injunctions

Lola is regularly instructed to act for both applicants and respondents in relation to Non-Molestation Order/Occupation Order proceedings, which often run alongside children proceedings.

Lola appears at all stages, from first through to final hearing and can be available at short notice for ‘without notice’ applications.

 

Public Children Law

Lola accepts instructions in care proceedings representing parents, grandparents, other family members, children through their guardian, foster parents, special guardians, and prospective special guardians. Lola has experience at all stage of proceedings from initial through to final hearing and can get up to speed quickly and efficiently for emergency protection order, interim care order and case management hearings listed at short notice.

Direct Access

Lola is authorised to accept instructions direct from members of the public. She encourages clients who are considering this route to contact Chambers and discuss their problem.

In suitable cases, Lola can provide client conferences and representation at court.
