Introduction

Marcus is a very experienced and established practitioner with a wide civil practice. He has dealt with a considerable number of medical negligence cases as well as personal injury claims arising out of accidents at work, motoring and marine collisions. He has extensive experience of advising at the pre-litigation stage as well as appearing on interim applications and at trial and in mediations. Marcus is very approachable and is known for providing effective and practical advice. He has a reputation for achieving excellent results and preparing pleadings, advices and documents in a timely manner.

Marcus has been involved in a significant number of high value cases of note. Marcus is regularly instructed on behalf of both Claimants and Defendants in claims alleging fraud. In addition Marcus has experience of residential landlord and tenant matters, employment cases and has been involved in litigating commercial and contractual disputes.

Marcus practised offshore for a number of years and is able to use that experience when cross-jurisdictional issues arise particularly in cases of foreign registered vehicles involved in motor accidents in England and Wales.

Marcus has dealt with a wide variety of personal injury matters arising out of road traffic accidents; Occupiers’ and Employers’ liability claims and maritime accidents. He has particular experience of dealing with catastrophic injury cases and claims involving the Motor Insurers Bureau. He is regularly instructed by both Claimants and Defendants.  

Recent cases

Marcus has recently been involved in a number of cases involving high value personal injury claims. A number of those matters were settled by negotiation and mediation prior to trial and Marcus is very familiar with that method of alternative dispute resolution.
