Martin specialises in personal injury and clinical negligence work. He appears in all courts. Martin started his career at the criminal bar and has made use of skills learnt there in his civil practice.
Martin acts in complex personal injury claims on behalf of claimants and insurers.
Recent work includes a number of claims, fatal and otherwise, on behalf of those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.
He acts on behalf of custody providers in claims arising out of death in custody.
He is able to advise on all human rights aspects of personal injury, fatal accident, and related claims (for example wrongful detention).
Martin also acts on behalf of insurers in claims arising out of road traffic and other accidents where dishonesty is alleged.
Martin acts in clinical negligence claims on behalf of claimants and NHS Resolution.
He has a particular interest in medical causation questions.
