Richard has been regularly practicing advocacy in the civil courts since 2009, having been a solicitor’s agent prior to completing pupillage in 2011. He currently has a busy civil common law practice with two main areas of emphasis:

  • Landlord & Tenant/Housing
  • Commercial Litigation/Debt Recovery

Richard has repeatedly been commended for his attention to detail, thorough preparation and pragmatic approach to litigation.

Personal Injury

Richard acts in PI matters arising out of RTAs, accidents at work and occupiers’ liability claims. He regularly appears in the county court on behalf of Claimants and Defendants in trials and interim applications, as well as drafting pleadings and advising on all stages of PI litigation.

Richard authors the Civil Law chapter of the Butterworths Road Traffic Service and has an in-depth knowledge of credit hire law.
