Robert Cameron undertakes work on behalf of local authorities, parents and guardians in public law childcare and adoption proceedings, and in private law children proceedings. He has considerable experience in all aspects of public and private law children work including the most complex and sensitive cases.

A Local Authority v (1) E (2) D (3) A (by her litigation friend the Official Solicitor) [2008] 1 FLR 978; [2008] 1 FCR 389 : [2008] Fam Law 24; before Sir Mark Potter P – The Court ordered that a young woman with severe learning disabilities should reside full time in the Local Authority’s specialist residential unit in circumstances where her parents refused to cooperate with a shared care arrangement.
Re L (child) [2016] EWCA Civ 821; Court of Appeal; appeal concerning whether, in light of the fact that the child had been living in France and proceedings about him had been taking place in the French court, the court had jurisdiction to make the orders that it did. The appeal required a consideration of the jurisdiction provisions of Council Regulation (EC) No 2201/2003 (“Brussels IIA”).
West Sussex County Council & Anor v F & Ors [2018] EWHC 1702; forced marriage protection order application and care proceedings in respect of 3 children.
