He has a broad civil practice and accepts instructions in all of chambers’ core areas. Before joining chambers, Robert worked for a legal start-up advising companies on private equity investments into their business.
Robert accepts instructions on behalf of both landlords (private and social) and tenants in a broad range of claims including possession, rent arrears, disrepair and homelessness appeals. He also represents parties in Environmental Protection Act prosecutions and regularly appears in applications made under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act.
During pupillage, Robert acted as a junior in a multi-track disrepair and disability discrimination claim. He also assisted his supervisor, Mathew McDermott in a rent repayment order appeal (Kowalek v Hassanein UKUT 2021) and an appeal by way of case stated on the question of service (Allen v London Borough of Ealing EWHC 948).
Robert also advises and drafts pleadings in a range of residential and commercial property matters.
