Toby began his clerking career in December 2015 and joined 42BR Barristers in 2019. He has since been promoted to Practice Manager in November 2023. His key responsibilities include diary management, fixing cases, negotiating fees, and contributing to the progression of members' practices. His role also includes assisting in business development and maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Toby was acknowledged in Chambers & Partners 2024 as "a pleasure to deal with and makes our interaction with chambers a seamless and collaborative one."

He holds the IBC's BTEC Level 3 Advanced Award in Chambers Administration and beyond chambers, Toby finds joy in playing golf with family and friends.
