Adele is a highly sought-after family law practitioner with a busy and thriving diverse practice spanning across all areas of family law, including financial remedies, and both public and private children law proceedings. Family law

Public Children Law

In her public law practice, Adele is instructed on behalf of parents, grandparents and children’s guardians. Adele looks forward to continuing to building upon her public law practice at 42BR. Adele is now expanding her work to include acting on behalf of local authorities and welcomes instructions across the full range of care and related proceedings. Her experience spans the full spectrum of public law proceedings, including cases involving neglect, domestic abuse, mental health difficulties, substance misuse, sexual abuse and non-accidental injuries. Adele is frequently engaged in urgent applications, including Emergency Protection Orders and Interim Care Orders, Case Management Hearings, Issue Resolution Hearings, Final Hearings and is adept at assimilating complex evidence at pace.

Private Children Law

Adele regularly represents parents, grandparents and children in complex and often high-conflict private law disputes. She is particularly experienced in fact-finding hearings and final hearings involving allegations of substance misuse, parental alienation, domestic abuse, coercive and controlling behaviour and sexual abuse. 
Adele has also appeared in the High Court and has experience drafting grounds of appeal and skeleton arguments for such hearings.

International Family Law

Adele accepts instructions in cases with an international dimension, including relocation applications and child abduction proceedings.

Financial Remedies

Adele acts for both applicants and respondents across all stages of financial remedy proceedings, from First Directions Appointments and Financial Dispute Resolution hearings through to final hearings. Adele also has experience with Preliminary Issue hearings, Freezing Injunctions and with cases involving substantial third-party disclosure orders.

Adele was at first, sole counsel, and then junior counsel in the reported cases of TYB v CAR (Non-Disclosure) [2023] EWFC 261 (B) and TYB v CAR (Non-Disclosure) (No.2) [2025] EWFC 263 (B), which considered the consequences of non-disclosure and non-compliance in financial remedy proceedings. The litigation involved significant international elements and complex third-party disclosure issues where a very favourable outcome was obtained for the client.

Domestic Abuse

Adele regularly represents both applicants and respondents in applications for Non-Molestation Orders, Transfer of Tenancy Orders and Occupation Orders, including urgent without-notice applications.

Modern Families

Adele accepts instructions across a broad range of modern family law matters, including adoption, surrogacy, assisted conception, parental responsibility and child arrangements disputes. She is committed to providing clear, practical advice tailored to the needs of modern families.

Recent Cases:

  • T v M [2026]- Instructed on behalf of the Wife who was deemed to have no litigation capacity and was facing Fraud allegations in financial remedy proceedings.
  • Re M [2025] - Instructed on behalf of the Mother for a 7-day fact finding hearing which involved allegations of sexual abuse of a child. A number of findings were made against the Father.  
  • Re M [2025]- Successfully resisted a permission to appeal request in the High Court as junior counsel.
  • Re E [2025]- Adele was successful in the Mother’s application to remove parental responsibility from the Father. The Father had been convicted in the criminal courts of perpetrating severe domestic abuse against the Mother.
  • Re S [2025]- Instructed on behalf of the Mother as junior counsel for a 5-day fact-finding hearing which involved allegations of sexual abuse of a child. This matter included expert evidence, multiple witnesses and involved a large amount of conflicting medical disclosure.

Civil Law

Prior to Adele’s career at the Bar, Adele worked as a County Court Advocate representing clients in over 1000 civil matters not limited to the following areas of law: personal injury; insolvency; property; and landlord-tenant. This experience allowed Adele to develop a firm understanding of the day-to-day realities of a strong civil legal practice. Throughout her career at the Bar, Adele has continued to build her civil practice.
