Alex specialises in Probate, Trusts and general Private Client matters, with a focus on contentious probate, TOLATA and Will drafting. He is regularly instructed in cases requiring close textual analysis, forensic scrutiny of financial conduct, and strategic insight into estate and trust administration disputes.
Alex also covers cases across Business & Property and Employment Law experience includes unfair dismissal, discrimination, and equal pay disputes.
Alex brings a depth of life and legal experience, having taught law, worked in Africa, and contributed to death row defence work in the United States. This informs his calm, grounded approach to litigation and his ability to connect with clients from all backgrounds.
He also has niche legal interests in firearms licensing law and animal welfare law.
He enjoys anything to do with dogs, countryside, heavy metal, clay pigeon shotting or blacksmithing.
Alex has experience representing Claimants and Defendants in all areas of employment law including discrimination, unlawful dismissal and equal pay. He specialises in multi-day hearings such as a recent case where he represented a Claimant against a religious institution listed for ten days.

In suitable cases, Alex can provide client conferences, written advices and representation at court. Alex accepts public access work across Chambers’ areas of expertise.
