Alice welcomes instructions in all Children Act matters, including public and private law proceedings, and in Family Law Act matters. She also undertakes Pro-Bono work, and was included on the 2026 Pro Bono Recognition List. Alice is regularly re-instructed on cases, and is adept at building trust with her clients.
Before coming to the Bar, Alice was a paralegal in the Childcare Law team at a leading law firm (ranked tier 4 in the Legal 500 and band 2 in Chambers and Partners). She gained experience in public and private family law matters, particularly in care proceedings. She was also part of a team specialising in supporting neurodivergent children and families.
Alice graduated in History from the University of Exeter before completing her Graduate Diploma in Law, BPTC, and LLM with the University of Law.
Whilst studying, Alice competed extensively in advocacy and mooting competitions. She won the Inner Temple Rawlinson Cup for Advocacy in 2022, and the Landmark Chambers Advocacy Prize at the LSE Featherstone Moot in 2022, as well as winning the University of Exeter Mooting Competition in 2020 and 2021, and Mock Trial in 2021. She also volunteered with the Family Law Email Advice Line, drafting advice letters for clients having family law issues, and with the University of Law Litigation Project, where she represented clients in private law children matters who could not access legal aid.
Family Law
Alice welcomes instructions in all Children Act matters, including public and private law proceedings, where she is building a practice working with local authorities, parents and guardians. Alice also welcomes instructions in Family Law Act matters, including Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders.
Private Law Children
Alice represents clients at all stages of private law children proceedings. Alice is regularly instructed in fact finding and final hearings, including serious allegations of abuse, for both victims and alleged perpetrators, and has a particular interest in LGBTQ+ families. Alice has successfully obtained permission to appeal an order for interim contact on the grounds and skeleton argument that she drafted, with the subsequent appeal succeeding.
Public Law Children
Alice is experienced in representing local authorities, parents and guardians at all stages of care proceedings. Alice has regularly represented clients at contested Interim Care Order hearings in matters involving issues such as chronic neglect, child abuse, mental health, substance misuse, and domestic violence. Alice has experience working with vulnerable parents, including those with learning difficulties. Alice also appears in DoLS matters.
Family Law Act
Alice represents both applicants and respondents in Family Law Act matters, including Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders. She has acted in cases involving serious domestic abuse, including cases running alongside or consolidated with Children Act proceedings.
