Amanda is a dual-qualified barrister of both Australia and England & Wales. She first began practising in 2012 as a solicitor in Sydney, Australia, specialising in family and criminal law matters. She has represented clients in high-conflict children’s matters, property divisions, and all types of criminal cases (drugs, sexual assaults, fraud, arson, robbery and serious violence). Amanda regularly appeared in Sydney metropolitan Courts equivalent to the English County, Crown and High Courts.
Amanda relocated to London in 2017 and worked predominantly for local authorities as an in-house advocate in children’s matters before being called to the Bar of England & Wales in 2020. Amanda then specialised in family law, appearing in both public and private law matters, particularly children’s law matters representing parents, Guardians and local authorities.
Amanda was then called the Bar in Australia in 2023 and in this jurisdiction also specialises in family law (private children and financial remedies). She is now based primarily in Sydney, travelling to London each year for long periods of time to maintain her practice and international family law skill set.

Amanda accepts instructions to appear on behalf of parents, children (through their Guardians) and other family members, such as grandparents. She has significant experience in high conflict parenting matters involving complex fact-finding and final hearings with allegations of serious family violence, parental alienation / alignment, coercive control, and international relocation.
Public Law Children
Amanda has been instructed in complex public law children’s matters, representing local authorities, parents and children (through their Guardian, involving infant death, non-accidental injuries, fabricated or induced illness, sexual abuse, serious violence, and mental health and substance misuse issues.
Financial Remedies
Amanda accepts instructions to appear in Family Finance proceedings. She brings her skillset from Australia to the England & Wales, having regularly appeared in complex matters involving third party claimants to matrimonial assets, multiple properties, businesses, trusts, significant taxation liabilities, and wastage and add-back arguments.
