Anne was called to the bar in 2018. She completed pupillage and was a tenant at Fenners Chambers, practicing primarily in Family, Property, Housing and Commercial Law. She has previously also practiced in public child, probate, insolvency and crime giving her a wealth of common law experiences to draw upon in both her legal knowledge and advocacy skills.
She appears in the Family Court, County Court and High Court.
She is known for being able to work quickly and efficiently to gain a firm grasp on complicated topics quickly, and analysis the detail effectively. She has an excellent rapport with clients who find her to be hardworking and approachable, but equally will provide pragmatic and grounded advice.
Anne also volunteers for the ARU pro bono advice clinic in Cambridge, including being recognized in the Pro Bono Recognition List 2024. She also regularly appears at ARU and other institutions as a judges for various competitions and similar events.
Anne specializes in financial remedy cases for a range of clients including modest assets and high net worth. Anne has represented clients at a range of hearings including multi-day final hearings and private FDRS.
She also has experience in TOLATA disputes, including interveners. She also advised previously on pre-nuptial agreements.
She also has experience with enforcement of final orders, including orders for sale.
Anne is regularly instructed in private children matters and is used to working with clients from FHDRAs to final hearings. Anne is particularly good at providing frank and pragmatic advice when required, but equally fighting fearlessly for clients. Anne is used to dealing with cases involving serious allegations of domestic abuse and parental alienation.
Anne has significant experience in applications for non-molestation and occupation orders, both for applicants and respondents. Anne is used to being instructed at short notice, including on the day. She is able to advise clients appropriately regarding concurrent Children Act proceedings and is often instructed for clients on both matters.
She is direct access qualified, and regularly accepted instructions from both professional and lay clients. In suitable cases, she can provide client conferences, written advices and representation at court. She accepts public access work across her areas of expertise.
