Brónach is a specialist family law barrister with a busy practice across both public and private children law. She is instructed by parents, grandparents, children through their Guardians and local authorities in a broad range of family proceedings, including child sexual abuse, non-accidental injury, child abduction and wardship, cases involving allegations of parental alienation, internal and international relocation, forced marriage and surrogacy matters.
Before coming to the Bar, Brónach gained valuable experience as a paralegal in the family department of a Legal 500 firm, where she developed a strong grounding in family litigation, client care and advocacy.
Family Law
Brónach has a thriving practice in both public and private children law, representing parents, grandparents, children through their Guardians and local authorities at all stages of proceedings.
She has appeared in complex public law cases involving serious allegations of child sexual abuse, non-accidental injury, child abduction and wardship. Brónach approaches these sensitive matters with thorough preparation and a practical, client-focused approach.
In private children proceedings, Brónach is regularly instructed in cases involving allegations of parental alienation, internal and international relocation, and forced marriage. She also has experience in surrogacy matters, particularly cases concerning legal parentage.

Public law
- ‘XY’ (Children) [2024] EWHC 123 - Brónach represented a sibling group in care proceedings through their Guardian. A complicating factor was the ongoing separate proceedings in which the children’s siblings were subject children. The court was persuaded to make an order pursuant to s.26 of the Adoption & Children Act 2002 as sought on behalf of the Guardian.
- Case 2 – February 2025
Led by senior counsel representing the Local Authority in care proceedings which included a lengthy Fact-Finding Hearing regarding non-accidental injury to a two-month old baby. Findings were made as sought by the Local Authority. - Case 3 – July 2023
Led by senior counsel representing an intervenor at a sex abuse Fact-Finding Hearing. - Case 4 – November 2023
Represented a client in care proceedings whilst there was an ongoing investigation into the attempted murder of a third party involving them.
