Celeste practices in all areas of Family and Public Law.
In family law, Celeste is regularly instructed on behalf of parents, local authorities and guardians in care, contact, adoption and special guardianship proceedings in the High Court, PRFD and County Courts. Celeste deals with both private and public family law matters and is willing to represent parties at hearings or offer advice or assist with mediations.
In relation to public law, Celeste’s practice deals predominantly with the provision of community care for children and adults by the local authority. Celeste regularly appears in the High Court in judicial review proceedings on behalf of applicants and respondents and has a detailed understanding of domestic legislation and guidance in this area.
Celeste’s cases often involve vulnerable people, such as young people, immigrants and those with mental health issues. Celeste is experience in topics as varied as Children Act 1989 matters through to perceived deficiencies in adult community care assessments.
Celeste also regularly lectures and provides seminars to professional clients on a range of public and family law issues.
