Jessica joined 42 BR in October 2026 and is undertaking a family pupillage under the supervision of Sharan Bhachu.  

Prior to starting pupillage, Jessica spent two years working as a paralegal at a boutique family law firm in central London. In this role, Jessica worked predominantly on public family law cases and Hague Convention cases. The cases involved allegations of serious non-accidental injury against parents and complex international elements. She also worked on private family law matters, including representing clients in Family Law Act injunctions.  Jessica also represented parents in pre-proceedings meetings with local authorities.  

Jessica previously worked as a Judicial Assistant to Mrs Justice Knowles and Sir Jonathan Cohen in the Family Division of the High Court.  
At The City Law School, Jessica volunteered with the pro bono charity ‘The School Exclusion Project’, where she represented parents appealing the permanent exclusion of their children.  

Before turning to the law, Jessica worked for the United Nations in Nigeria.
