
42BR Barristers ranked in The Chambers & Partners UK Bar Guide 2026
42BR Barristers is pleased to announce that we continue to be ranked in the 2026 edition of Chambers & Partners UK Bar Guide.
This year we have achieved six individual elevations, four new inclusions, and two set ranking improvements in both Social Housing and Family/Matrimonial South East.
In Clinical Negligence, Tom Wood has been elevated from Band 5 to Band 4.
Within Employment, both Susan Chan and Sam Healy join the rankings, each being recognised in Band 6. Sam also maintains his Band 1 ranking in the North East.
In Family: Children (London), Kate Claxton enters the rankings in Band 4, while Sharan Bhachu has been elevated from Band 3 to Band 2.
For Family: Children (South East), Kate Kochnari has achieved an elevation from Band 2 to Band 1, and Amanda Jepson joins the rankings in Band 3, further strengthening our family law presence in the region.
Our Family/Matrimonial (South East) Set Ranking has also been elevated from Band 3 to Band 2.
In Social Housing, our Set Ranking has risen from Band 4 to Band 3, while Mathew McDermott has been individually elevated from Band 3 to Band 2.
We are equally proud to confirm that all of our existing ranked members and teams have maintained their positions from last years guide, reaffirming the continued excellence and consistency across Chambers.
