42BR Barristers ranked in The Legal 500 UK Bar Guide 2026

42BR Barristers is pleased to announce that we are again ranked in the 2026 edition of Legal 500.

This year 42BR achieved 16 individual elevations in tier rankings, as well as achieving a Tier 2 Set Ranking, up from Tier 3, for Family: Children and Domestic Abuse in the South Eastern region. In addition, 11 members entered the rankings in both Family, Employment and Social Housing. 

In Family: Children and Domestic Abuse (London), congratulations go to Rachel Chan, Zoe McGrath, Philip McCormack, Kate Claxton and Richard Little for their tier promotions. We also celebrate Sam Davis and Vanessa Wells on entering the rankings for the first time, and Charlotte McDonald, who is newly recognised as a Rising Star.

In Employment, many congratulations to Jonathan Davies, Orlando Holloway, Tim Welch, Amy Stroud and Gillian Crew for elevated tier rankings. Jamie Fireman and Stefan Liberadzki are also recognised for the first time, both entering at Tier 5.

In Social Housing, we are pleased to announce that Michael Grant has entered the rankings.

In the South Eastern region, Lydia Slee, Philip McCormack, Jo Porter, Jennifer Youngs and Sam Davis achieved elevated rankings in Family: Children and Domestic Abuse, with Jeremy Hall, Vanessa Wells and Ruth Webber all entering the rankings as Tier 5. Philippa Thomas also entered as a Rising Star.

In Family: Divorce and Financial Remedy Sam Davis achieved an elevated rankings of Tier 3, whilst Kate Kochnari joined the rankings as Tier 4.

42BR Barristers now has 66 individual members ranked, across 9 practice areas, as well as 4 set rankings in Social Housing, Employment and Family: Children and Domestic Abuse - London and the South East.
