Domestic Abuse and The Law

We are delighted to invite you to the Oasis Domestic Abuse Service and Kent Law Society conference for legal professionals on domestic abuse and the law, taking place on Thursday 24 September 2026 at Westgate Hall, Canterbury, sponsored by 42BR's Family Group.

The conference is designed to help attendees:

The day will consist of talks from experts in their field, including Kristina Massey - lecturer at Canterbury Christchurch University; Detective Chief Superintendent and Head of Public Protection and VAWG lead at Kent Police - Emma Banks, Burnout Prevention & Recovery Coach - Jacqui Sansom; Oasis Head of Children and Young People in Medway - Danielle Georgiou, and Laura Giachardi and Sian Smith of 42BR. 

Featuring Guest Panel: Her Honour Judge Coffey, Damian Woodward-Carlton KC, Richard Little and Kate Kochnari from 42BR.

This event brings together experts from the legal sector, policing, academia and frontline domestic abuse services, with a focus on practical insights and ways to improve the court experience for clients.
