
Kate Kochnari wins the Excellence in Leadership award at the Kent Law Society Awards 2025
We are delighted to share that Kate Kochnari won the Excellence in Leadership Award at the Kent Law Society Awards 2025 last week.
The award honours a senior lawyer or barrister who has made a significant and lasting impact on their firm, colleagues and the broader legal community. This individual exemplifies leadership, mentorship and commitment to excellence in the legal profession, Through their expertise, guidance and dedication, they inspire those around them and contribute to the growth and success of the legal field.
Kate is a truly deserving recipient of this award. Kate has made an incredible contribution to the legal community—volunteering at law clinics, offering pro bono representation to clients, and providing advocacy training for Kent YRes. She has supervised pupils, supported countless mooting competitions, offered support at law fairs, and delivered talks and seminars across a wide range of platforms. Beyond her legal work, Kate has also played a key role in our community efforts, helping to raise over £2,000 annually through our much-loved Canterbury Quiz.
This award is a well-deserved recognition of the influence Kate continues to have, both within Chambers and across the legal field. All at 42BR extend our heartfelt congratulations to Kate on this remarkable achievement.
