Placement of children in Poland under Special Guardianship Orders
Zimran Samuel has successfully resisted an appeal against a decision to place children with their relatives in Poland, following the murder of their Mother by their Father. The appeal, brought by the local authority and the children’s Father, was dismissed and an order for costs was made against the local authority, the lead appellant in this case.
The judgment of Macur LJ was handed down by the Court of Appeal this morning and can be read here: MW v Hertfordshire County Council [2014] EWCA Civ 405 (04 April 2014)
