Sharan Bhachu acts for the Mother in SK and RO

42BR member, Sharan Bhachu and her Junior, Baldip Singh, of 33 Bedford Row, represent a mother in private law proceedings where serious allegations involving Honor Based Violence is raised as a separate set of allegations from the main allegations of domestic abuse.

Lieven J accepted the Mother’s case that the court needed to consider the full array of concerns in order to assess the risk of the Father having any contact/relationship with his child and given the nature of the allegations, agreed to hear them in a Closed Material procedure with the appointment of a Special Advocate to test the evidence on behalf of the Father.
