Philip is a specialist family practitioner with extensive experience in all aspects of family law. His cases regularly involve the most serious allegations, vulnerable parties and complex welfare issues. He has a particular focus on children law and care proceedings.

Philip has nearly three decades of experience conducting complex contested hearings, resulting in exceptional witness handling skills and being able to get quickly to the heart of a difficult case.

He works extensively with people living with cognitive limitations and has completed the FLBA Vulnerable Witness Training. He is sought after by solicitors acting for clients facing particular challenges or where a case is especially complicated.

He regularly represents parents, children, local authorities, extended family members and intervenors in complex and sensitive cases involving allegations of serious harm, including non-accidental injury, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, alienating behaviours and fabricated induced illness.
