Family Law

Hillingdon v M [2026] – Representing a Local Authority and successfully obtained findings against a father for alienating influences, domestic abuse and undermining the mother. The children were successfully returned to the mother’s care.

Re (X) (Fact Finding) [2025] EWFC 521 – Led by Sam Momtaz KC in complex non-accidental injury to a baby. 

A Local Authority v X (Attendance of Experts) [2025] EWFC 137 – Led by Sam Momtaz KC in a leading case before Mr. Justice MacDonald. The case serves as an authoritative touchstone for applying FPR r.25.9(2), clarifying the strict procedural thresholds for why oral cross-examination and live testing of medical certainty remain vital in the interests of justice over written-only expert evidence.

Croydon v S (2025) – Successfully represented a Local Authority in a high-complexity adoption case involving extremely vulnerable parents with severe cognitive and learning disabilities.

Bromley v B [2025] - Representing the Local Authority and successfully secured findings of parental alienation. In doing so, exposed patterns of coercive control, leading to the successful return of the children to the Mother’s care.

Surrey County Council v C (2024) – Handled a complex fact-finding hearing led by Teertha Gupta KC, achieving absolute dismissal of all physical and sexual allegations by exposing systemic evidential unreliability and psychological confabulation.

Re W (No2) (A Child: Emotional Harm), Re [2020] EWFC B19 – Successfully representing the child in complex, long running emotional harm proceedings.

Re W (No1) (Scope of the Hearing) [2019] - Acting for a child in proceedings where the scope of a proposed 15 day fact finding hearing was considered where the child did not seek to return to the parent’s care.

T (A Child) [2019] EWFC B26 – Acted for mother with significant learning difficulties in contested adoption care and placement proceedings 

LB Hounslow v M and F [2015] EWFC B214 – Acted for an intervenor in a serious non-accidental injury to a young child. Successfully argued that the injuries were medical outliers and a result of an unlucky accidental fall. 

Re A (2013) EWCA Civ 1217 – Court of Appeal decision concerning the fundamental admissibility of psychiatric assessments in public care proceedings.

Re C (2012) EWCA Civ 1281 – Court of Appeal decision regarding parental contact maintenance during ongoing care proceedings.
