Public Law

Within public law proceedings, Stephanie has experience of complex fact-finding and welfare hearings involving sexual abuse, non-accidental injury, substance abuse and severe neglect. Stephanie regularly acts for parents and guardians. She has particular ability in representing vulnerable clients, including those suffering from learning or mental health difficulties.

Private Law

Within private law children proceedings, Stephanie advises and acts in child arrangement order disputes, Prohibited Steps Order and Specific Issue order applications including leave to remove from the jurisdiction, internal relocation and change of surname. She is frequently instructed to represent parents involved in complex private law proceedings, dealing with issues such as domestic violence, substance misuse, sexual abuse, emotional / psychological harm and risk of abduction. Stephanie has developed a reputation for combining a pragmatic and sensitive approach to cases with persuasive advocacy and shrewd negotiation skills.

Animal Welfare

This is a new area for Stephanie. She has a particular interest in the link between domestic abuse, child abuse and animal abuse. Her experience protecting children and vulnerable adults through her family law practice enables her to develop her practice in this area.
