Steve has over 25 years clerking experience. He joined 42BR Barristers in 2003 and was appointed as Director of Clerking in 2023. He leads an enthusiastic and dynamic clerking team and is committed to providing a high-quality service to clients. 

Steve is responsible for developing the practice areas within 42BR Barristers and works closely with the clerking teams in the day-to-day management of member’s individual practices.

His open approach also ensures a close working relationship with all of Chambers’ external clients.

Outside of Chambers, Steve is kept busy as a dad to his young son. He enjoys running, and can be found running along the Thames Embankment during some of his lunch breaks. He enjoys golf and can sometimes be found in a bunker or two! Over the last few years he has been an avid follower of his local football team, Bromley FC. He also enjoys travelling and spending time away with his wife and son.

He is also a long standing member of the IBC.
