Tim Potter was called to the Bar in 2005 and has developed a well-established practice specialising in public law family proceedings. He is regularly instructed by local authorities, parents, children’s guardians and interveners in a broad range of cases, including care proceedings, adoption and placement applications, and matters involving serious allegations of abuse and neglect. Tim appears regularly before courts at all levels and is experienced in handling complex and sensitive cases involving children.

Tim commenced practice undertaking work in the areas of criminal law, immigration law, as well as all aspects of family law including private law children proceedings and financial arrangements. He has undertaken pro bono work with the Bar Human Rights Committee and Bail for Immigration Detainees.
