Alex welcomes instructions in Probate, Trusts and general Private Client matters. He brings a robust, straightforward and craftsman-like approach to litigation. He can be relied upon to give common sense and quality advice, draft effectively and has been described by clients as a force of nature in the court room.
In his broad experience he has also practiced in a number of disciplines, such as Personal Injury, Business & Property and Employment. Having a wealth of life experience including teaching law, working in Africa, assisting in Death Row Defence work in the USA, and never being afraid to get his hands dirty ensures that Alex is relatable and empathetic while also Counsel that can be relied upon to be pragmatic and robust.
He also has niche interests in firearms licensing and animal welfare. He enjoys anything to do with dogs, countryside, heavy metal or blacksmithing.
Alex’s core practice is in Trusts, Probate and general private client work. He practices across all of these areas and specialises in providing bespoke advice which is realistic and pragmatic. Whether drafting or in court, his experience can be relied upon.
Areas of Particular Focus:
Alex has experience representing Claimants and Defendants in all areas of employment law including discrimination, unlawful dismissal and equal pay. He specialises in multi-day hearings such as a recent case where he represented a Claimant against a religious institution listed for ten days.
Alex’s PI experience is broad, and draws not just on his legal work but on experience and knowledge across a number of trades and industries gained before he came to the Bar. He has asked for Claimant’s and Defendants in matters ranging from small claims to multi-track including complex and multiple sites of injury.
