Vistra Greenaway-Harvey wins the Inner Temple Pupil’s Advocacy Competition
42BR is pleased to share that our pupil, Vistra Greenaway-Harvey recently won the Inner Temple Pupil’s Advocacy Competition 2023/24.
Pupils are shortlisted based on their advocacy performance at the Pupils Advocacy Training Course - Residential Weekend. During the training weekend, assessors look at performance skills, witness handling and demonstration of argument skills.
Two pupils were shortlisted for the 2023/24 prize. To determine a winner, a Mock Trial Final took place on Thursday 4 July 2024 at the Inner Temple.
The competition was judged by The Honourable. Mr Justice Griffiths.
Both candidates had the task of cross-examining Jennie Oborne and David Wood (Deputy Course Directors) - who played the two witnesses in the criminal case. Both candidates also delivered a closing speech.
The monetary prize was donated by Mrs Julia Jarman, widow of Nicholas Jarman QC, who joined the mock trial final via video link.
Vistra was announced as the winner at the Inner Temple's annual advocacy dinner.
All at 42BR congratulate Vistra on this achievement!
