Krishma is an established practitioner whose work covers personal injury, clinical negligence, family, landlord and tenant and social housing.
She has significant advocacy experience and has appeared in a range of Courts, from the Magistrates Court to the High Court. Krishma is popular amongst professional and lay clients and is known for her approachable manner, thorough preparation and robust advice.
Krishma is also a qualified New York Attorney (admitted April 2019).
Outside of the Bar, Krishma has interests in interior design, travel and cooking. She also enjoys travelling around the world to see wildlife in its natural habitat.
Krishma is regularly instructed to appear in fast track and multi-track matters in personal injury cases, often involving issues of low velocity impact/fundamental dishonesty. She is experienced in matters involving road traffic accidents, employer's liability, and public liability and is very familiar with the arguments that arise in low velocity impact/fundamental dishonesty cases from both a Claimant and Defendant perspective.
She has experience presenting and responding to general civil applications (such as applications to extend limitation/applications to strike out due to abuse of process/applications for pre action disclosure/applications to resile from admissions etc). She has provided representation at numerous costs and case management hearings and is very familiar with budgeting exercises.
Krishma also has a busy credit hire practice and is able to confidently and articulately deal with the full range of issues frequently arising in this area.
Additionally, she has represented clients in clinical negligence cases at costs and case management conferences and advised on liability and quantum. Most recently, Krishma assisted a client with a dental negligence claim, from the drafting of pleadings through to settlement.
Aside from bring in Court, Krishma has a busy paper work practice. Her practice in these areas continues to grow in respect of complexity and value.
Krishma has advised different Forces in relation to defending civil personal injury actions. In respect of this, she has provided representation at Costs and Case Management hearings, Applications for further medical evidence and Third-Party Disclosure Applications. Additionally, she has experience drafting Defences – in relation to assault, false imprisonment, malicious prosecution and misfeasance in public office.
Aside from this, Krishma has also represented different Forces in obtaining civil orders in the Magistrates Courts - including closure orders, sexual harm prevention orders and violent behaviour orders.
Krishma has experience representing the Home Office at asylum appeals at the First Tier.
