Krishma joined Chambers after completing a common law pupillage with a focus on personal injury and civil litigation under the supervision of Michael Armstrong. Since that time, she has practised predominantly in the field of personal injury and civil litigation and her practice continues to grow in respect of complexity and value. Additionally, Krishma has a busy paperwork practice and regularly advises on liability, quantum and procedural matters, as well as drafting pleadings.
Krishma took and successfully passed the New York Bar Examinations in 2015 and is due to be admitted as a New York Attorney in April 2019.
Before pupillage, Krishma worked as an adjudicator for the Financial Ombudsman Service in London. She was also awarded the Queen Mother's scholarship in 2011 and the Hong Kong Scholarship in 2013 by Middle Temple.
Krishma grew up in London and enjoys photography, travelling and cooking. She also enjoys travelling around the world to see wildlife in its natural habitat.
Krishma has attended Pre Inquest Review Hearings and has appeared in a short inquest.
Krishma has represented the Home Office at asylum appeals at the First Tier.
Krishma is regularly instructed to represent different Police Forces in respect of disclosure in and out of family proceedings. She is experienced in applications for public interest immunity, having appeared in the High Court of the Family Division on a number of occasions.
She was most recently involved in a substantial and complex Family High Court case throughout 2018, having represented the same Force throughout the proceedings in relation to disclosure.
Krishma has previously advised different Forces in relation to civil personal injury actions being brought against them. In respect of this, she has provided representation at Costs and Case Management hearings, Applications for further medical evidence and Third-Party Disclosure Applications. Additionally, she has experience drafting Defences – in relation to assault, false imprisonment, malicious prosecution and misfeasance in public office.
Aside from this, Krishma has also represented different Forces in obtaining civil orders in the Magistrates Courts - including closure orders, sexual harm prevention orders and violent behaviour orders.
