Session 8

Money for nothing?! Why employees seek interim relief - and how employers can fight the claims
Catherine Urquhart & Sam Healy
Interim relief sounds like an amazing deal for an employee who believes they have been unfairly dismissed for whistleblowing or trade union activities. If they can persuade a judge that they are likely to win at the final hearing, the judge may order their former employer to keep paying their salary until the trial! But is it really that simple?
Join Catherine Urquhart and Sam Healy, as they explain what interim relief is, the challenges for claimants who seek it, and why respondents need to act fast to resist it.
Session 9

Tuesday 7 October 2025
Trial and No Errors: Top tips for helping your Barrister (and client) succeed at Tribunal

Continuing our Employment webinar series, Nick Singer and Jamie Fireman's webinar will examine the life of a Tribunal claim, from start to finish, highlighting practical hints and tips to ensure the case is prepared as well as possible for the trial. Jamie will 'represent' the Claimant and Nick the Respondent and they will have a conversation discussing each perspective.

Session 11

Tuesday 2 December
Harassment vs. Harassment: A Practical Comparison between the Equality Act and the Protection from Harassment Act
Iris Ferber KC and Max Gordon
To conclude our Employment Webinar 2025 series, Iris Ferber KC and Max Gordon discuss the two very different types of “harassment” claim, when each might be used, and how to deploy them.
What if your client has been bullied and harassed, but not in connection with any protected characteristic? What if your client needs the harassment to stop, more than they need to be compensated for it? What if your client is an employer, and the person doing the harassing is a current (or former) employee? The Protection from Harassment Act 1997 is very different from section 26 of the Equality Act 2010, and sometimes it can provide a solution where the Equality Act cannot.
