Louise joined 42BR Barristers in October 2018 on completion of pupillage in chambers. She has a broad common law practice encompassing employment, social housing and family law.

Louise has been commended for her thorough trial preparation and conscientious support to lay clients at court and in tribunal.

Employment Law

Louise accepts instructions in employment related matters and appears regularly in multi-day trials in respect of unfair dismissal, redundancy, complex discrimination, whistleblowing and breaches of contract.

She represents both claimants and respondents in all stages of tribunal proceedings. Louise also has experience representing large, national organisations such as supermarkets, banks and hotels and can provide practical advice on litigation and settlement.

Family Law

Public Family Law

Louise appears on behalf of Local Authorities, parents and Children’s Guardians at all stages of care proceedings including cases in the FDAC court and involving child sexual exploitation, physical and emotional abuse and neglect.

Private Family Law

Louise has experience in all aspects of private children proceedings including cases involving multi-day Fact Finding Hearings relating to domestic abuse and parental alienation at Final Hearings.

She also appears in applications for Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders.

Housing Law

Louise represents and advises clients in a broad range of landlord and tenant actions; this includes claims for possession, rent arrears, trespass and unlawful subletting and disrepair.

She also has extensive experience in applications for injunctions under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014 and regularly appears for local authorities and housing associations in proceedings relating to breach or committal.  

As well as appearing in all stages of proceedings, Louise accepts instructions to draft pleadings and advise generally on housing matters.

She also appears in the Magistrates Court in relation to Environmental Protection Act 1990 prosecutions.
