Paul appears in high value, complex proceedings - with a focus on company and commercial law; insolvency law; property law; and traditional Chancery law.
Paul’s wealth of experience as a barrister is complimented by 10 years prior practice as a litigation solicitor - in London, and then as head of the dispute resolution department at a large firm in Kent.
Paul is a recognised Lexis Nexis expert, providing guidance on property disputes and private client law. Paul is also a member of both the Chancery Bar Association, and the Property Bar Association.
Paul is an accredited mediator, and has been recognised in the Legal 500 as an “ADR specialist”.
As a member of Chambers’ Animal Welfare team, Paul has produced numerous articles, webinars, and podcasts on animal law. Paul has provided free advice to underprivileged pet owners, reuniting them with their companion animals. Paul is also the chairman of his local RSPCA, which operates a large animal centre, and several shops.
Paul was also included in the 2026 Pro-Bono Recognition List of England and Wales, recognising his ongoing commitment to providing no-fee legal services to those in need.
In his spare time Paul is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. Paul coaches classes at his local gym, and regularly competes in a variety of multisport competitions, including triathlons.
Paul regularly acts for landlords and tenants alike in both residential and commercial property disputes. Paul’s expertise includes claims for possession of property and forfeiture proceedings, claims relating to the termination and renewal of commercial leases, disrepair and dilapidation claims, proceedings relating to breaches of rights of way (including injunctive proceedings) and claims against trespassers.
Paul represents companies, directors and shareholders in matters arising out of contract and negligence, as well as issues pertaining to companies’ internal affairs.
Paul also routinely acts and advises in disputed bankruptcy and corporate insolvency proceedings, as well as subsequent claims relating to the mismanagement of company business.
Paul also represents both claimants and defendants (including insurance backed parties) in relation professional negligence matters, and has successfully represented clients in actions against solicitors, accountants and veterinary practices.
