Catrin joined 42BR in October 2022 following completion of her pupillage in chambers. She has a busy practice spanning private family law and employment. She prides herself on her diligent preparation, practical advice and approachability.
Catrin read Law at the University of Oxford, and subsequently completed her BPTC LLM at the University of Law. Prior to pupillage, she worked as a family paralegal at two leading law firms.
Catrin frequently represents both claimants and respondents in a broad range of employment matters, including discrimination, unfair dismissal and whistleblowing cases. She is instructed on matters from case management preliminary hearings, to multi-day final hearings, and advises her clients throughout, including with respect to settlement where appropriate. She has also has experience with strike out/deposit order/time limit preliminary hearings, and judicial mediation.
Recent cases
N Doffou v Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd [2024] – acted for the successful respondent at a gross misconduct unfair dismissal final hearing.
H Thompson v Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd [2023] – acted for the successful respondent in a five-day final hearing where all claims of disability discrimination were dismissed.
Y Cetinkaya v DAM Group UK Ltd [2022] – acted for the successful claimant in a claim of automatic unfair dismissal due to assertion of a statutory right.
Catrin is authorised to accept instructions direct from members of the public.
